About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Clinton Township, Michigan, to provide prep-period coverage and support students with diverse learning needs. The teacher provides classroom coverage during scheduled teacher preparation periods across assigned classrooms or school locations, delivers special education instruction and student support according to established lesson plans and classroom routines, and implements students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP) accommodations. The role requires adapting to varying grade levels, classroom environments, and student needs throughout the school day.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an appropriate special education endorsement, or an eligible Michigan Substitute Teaching Permit.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings, follow established instructional plans, and support students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage during scheduled teacher preparation periods across assigned classrooms or school locations.
• Deliver special education instruction and student support in accordance with established lesson plans and classroom routines.
• Implement students’ IEP accommodations and support individual learning needs.
