About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a long-term sub role in the Mahtomedi, MN area. We’re seeking passionate and collaborative professionals who are excited to make a meaningful impact in the school-based setting. This is a K-2 DCD Classroom position with a caseload of approximately 10 students. The role is full-time, in-person, and runs from February to June.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education or Related Field
- Active Minnesota Special Education Teacher license through PELSB
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in the classroom setting is preferred
Responsibilities
- Create an inclusive classroom setting for all learners
- Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
- Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills
- Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
