SETSS Special Education Teacher - Manhattan
About The Position
Knowledge Road is seeking NYS-certified Special Education Teachers to work as SETSS providers on a 1099 basis in Manhattan. We have a New York City DOE contract to provide IEP- and IESP-mandated services to students attending independent, parochial, and charter schools, as well as some homeschooled students. This is not a placement within DOE public schools. The role offers flexibility in terms of caseload and hours, with cases typically running during the school day, but some may be available after school or on weekends. Caseloads and availability vary throughout the year, and we recruit year-round.
Requirements
- NYS certification in Students with Disabilities (B-2, 1-6, 7-12 or All Grades)
- Availability to work in Manhattan
- Cannot have been employed by the NYC Department of Education within the past year (or require special approval)

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver one-to-one or small-group SETSS instruction aligned to each student's IEP or IESP goals
- Keep session notes and complete required documentation
- Complete progress reports as required
- Communicate with the school, the family, and the student's team
- Attend IESP meetings for the students you work with
