About The Position

Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) is expanding its Lakes Country Academy (LCA) program with a new site in Moorhead, Minnesota, and is seeking Special Education Teachers. LCA is a level IV setting that provides specialized services to students referred by their resident school districts. The program offers smaller class sizes and caseloads, shorter student days that allow for planning and collaboration during the school day, and a collaborative, trauma-informed team environment. Its integrated programming combines academics with functional life skills, employability training, and social-emotional learning in a trauma-sensitive, relationship-based setting.

Requirements

Minnesota special education teacher license, Tier 3 or 4 in Emotional Behavior Disorders (EBD) preferred.
Candidates eligible for Tier 1 or 2 licenses or Out of Field Permission will also be considered.
Experience working with K–12 students with behavioral challenges is ideal.
Passion for collaborative, student-centered instruction.

Nice To Haves

Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota special education license in Emotional Behavior Disorders (EBD).
Experience working with K–12 students with behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities
