About The Position

Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) is expanding its Lakes Country Academy (LCA) program with a new site in Moorhead, Minnesota, and is seeking paraprofessionals to support K–12 students in a supportive, highly individualized educational setting. Students are referred by local school districts and benefit from a calm, structured environment designed to address academic and behavioral needs. The paraprofessional supports students’ learning, social, and emotional development; helps implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); and assists with classroom instruction and behavioral support. The role involves collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to create a positive, inclusive environment. On-the-job training and ongoing support are provided. The position is based at Lakes Country Academy in Moorhead, with typical hours of 8:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 6.75 hours per day, for 180 days per year aligned with the school calendar. The stated start date is December 1, 2026. Pay is $20.60 to $26.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
In addition to a high school diploma or equivalent, have 60 or more college credits, a completed associate degree, or a passing score on the ParaEducator or ParaPro exam. The exam may be completed after hire within 30 days.
