About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to create an inclusive learning environment and help students with diverse learning needs reach their full potential in Memphis, TN. This role involves providing specialized instruction in a functional skills classroom, using individualized strategies to support students' academic, behavioral, and life skills development. The teacher will develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including instructional goals, accommodations, progress monitoring, and required documentation. Collaboration with families, multidisciplinary teams, and school staff is essential to coordinate services and promote student success across educational settings. The position requires creating a structured, inclusive classroom environment using evidence-based instructional practices and positive behavior support strategies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
Active Tennessee teaching license with an appropriate Special Education endorsement (e.g., Special Education Comprehensive or Interventionist)
