About The Position

This is a Long Term Substitute Position for the 26-27 School Year. The role involves working as a co-teacher and/or a small group academic support teacher to provide direct instruction to special education students per their IEPs.

Requirements

Massachusetts Teacher Licensure in Moderate Disabilities Required
Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities

Act as liaison for each assigned IEP student.
Provide tutorial and small group instruction for IEP specified services.
Develop educational plans (IEPs) to meet students’ needs.
Assist regular education teachers in the successful inclusion of IEP students.
Consult with teachers, guidance and other support personnel for student goals, educational modifications; make up work, untimed tests, organizational skills, and other skills stipulated on the IEP.
Attend team meetings for students and provide services (including writing of new IEP or amendment) as determined by team.
Complete academic testing for students on caseload.
Works as a team member for other specified duties at Gardner High School.
Complete all paperwork (including referrals for reevaluation) within the specified time limits.
Act as a resource for parents, teachers, and administrators.
