About The Position
Lionsgate specializes in educating students living with Autism and other learning differences and offers more than a typical school. This role is for the 26/27 school year. The school serves grades 7-12 with small class sizes and small caseloads. Due process days are provided.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education
- Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete required job tasks
- Experience with CPI, Nurtured Heart, Re-Ed Principles, PBIS, or other programs that contribute to positive behavioral strategies, or willingness to be trained
Nice To Haves
- Minnesota ASD and/or EBD teaching license
- Experience, interest and/or expertise working with students on the autism spectrum, varied learning styles and levels of mastery
- Experience in differentiation, using creative teaching techniques from project–based to direct-instruction
Responsibilities
- Educating students living with Autism and other learning differences
- Case managing (for Case Manager positions)
- Teaching (for Special Education Teacher positions)
- Collaborate daily with team members
- Develop personalized learning plans for each student
