About The Position

Lionsgate Academy, a school dedicated to educating students with Autism and other learning differences, is seeking a mission-driven Special Programs Supervisor to lead its Center Based program. The school emphasizes inclusion, respect, and customized learning, and is looking for a leader committed to student-centered excellence. The role involves providing leadership and oversight to high-needs, center-based classrooms, directing student programming, and supervising due process paperwork. The supervisor will actively coach and supervise teachers in behavior management, collaborate with teams to develop and deliver behavioral and academic/functional programming, and support students with significant cognitive disabilities in accessing education in the least restrictive environment. This role also requires being a partner and visible presence for students, staff, and families.

Requirements

Current Minnesota teaching license
5 or more years working in Special Education
Experience working with students with autism
Experience working with students with developmental cognitive (DCD) delays

Nice To Haves

BCBA certification
Experience with STAR, Attainments or other curriculum that addresses functional skills
Experience with augmentative communication (AAC) devices
Experience as an instructional coach/mentor for special education teachers

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight to high-needs, center-based classrooms on the Shoreview Campus
Direct student programming and supervise due process paperwork
