About The Position
Lionsgate Academy's mission is designed to educate students living with Autism and other learning differences. They are seeking a mission-driven Special Programs Supervisor to lead their Center Based program. The school is built on a foundation of inclusion, respect, and customized learning, and they need a leader ready to continue their commitment to student-centered excellence.
Requirements
- Current Minnesota teaching license
- 5 or more years working in Special Education
- Experience working with students with autism and developmental cognitive (DCD) delays
Nice To Haves
- BCBA certification
- Experience with STAR, Attainments or other curriculum that addresses functional skills
- Experience with augmentative communication (AAC) devices
- Experience as an instructional coach/mentor for special education teachers
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight to high-needs, center-based classrooms on the Shoreview Campus
- Direct student programming and supervise due process paperwork
- Actively coach and supervise teachers in behavior management
- Collaborate with teams to develop and deliver behavioral and academic/functional programming
- Support students with significant cognitive disabilities in accessing education in the least restrictive environment
- A partner and visible presences for students, staff, and families
