About The Position
Alliance Academy of Cincinnati, located in Cincinnati, OH, opened in 2004 and serves over 350 K-8 students annually. The school offers starting pay above market scales, experienced leadership, strong academic performance, high staff support, a safe learning environment, high parent involvement, and specialized behavioral support (ABSS) and Dean support models. This role involves providing instructional and behavioral assistance to students with disabilities as outlined in their IEPs and/or 504-behavior plans, working either 1:1 or in small groups. The position requires a commitment to educating the whole student and implementing specialized curriculum and instruction. Attendance at professional development, specialized trainings, and IEP meetings is also expected, along with assisting with compliance documentation.
Requirements
- Must meet state requirements for being a Title 1 paraprofessional.
- Ability to defuse situations and prevent escalation.
- Aptitude to understand and navigate technical systems.

- Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities and/or behavior modifications.
Responsibilities
- Assess student abilities and provide instructional and behavioral assistance for students in accordance with their individual education plan (IEP) and/or their 504-behavior plan as directed by the special education team.
- Support students 1:1 or in small groups.
- Commit to educating the whole student – academically, morally, and socially.
- Implement result-driven curriculum and instruction specially designed to meet the unique needs of each student resulting from his/her disability such as, resource room, inclusion and/or pullout services.
- Attend professional development, specialized trainings and IEP meetings with special education team and parents as required.
- Assist with the required compliance documentation.
