Requirements

Must meet state requirements for being a Title 1 paraprofessional.
High school diploma or higher.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents, and community.
Ability to speak clearly and concisely in written and oral communication.
Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs.
Understanding of mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry.
Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form.
