About The Position
Aspire Charter Academy, located in Gary, IN, is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026-27 School Year. Aspire Academy opened in 2008 and serves over 650 K-8 students annually. The school aims to provide students with specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs of each child resulting from their disability, offering services such as resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout services. NHA (National Heritage Academies) supports staff through alternative certification journeys and provides access to a best-in-class curriculum with advanced instructional tools and resources.
Requirements
- Must meet state requirements for being a Title 1 paraprofessional.
- Hold a valid teacher license or meet alternative requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide specially designed instruction developed to meet the unique needs of each child resulting from his/her disability, such as: a resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout services.
- Participate in professional development that is specific to special education curriculum, along with data tracking tools.
