About The Position

Skyline Education is seeking a dependable, patient, and motivated paraprofessional for its AZ Compass campus. The position supports students in grades 7–12 in general education and special education classrooms. Working alongside special education and general education teachers, the paraprofessional helps students with diverse learning needs access classroom instruction, build academic skills, and develop independence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude when working with students who have diverse learning needs.
• Ability to follow teacher direction and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic academic skills in reading, writing, and math.
• Dependable, organized, and willing to learn new instructional strategies.
• Ability to move between classrooms and provide support throughout the school day.
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, email, and online learning platforms.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with middle or high school students.
• Experience supporting students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support students with disabilities in general education classrooms under the direction of a special education teacher.
• Assist students in understanding classroom instruction, completing assignments, and participating in learning activities.
• Help implement accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies as directed by the special education teacher.
• Provide individual or small-group academic support as needed.
• Encourage student independence, organization, and appropriate classroom participation.
• Support positive student behavior and reinforce classroom expectations.
• Collaborate with special education and general education teachers to support student success.
• Assist with monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers.
• Maintain student confidentiality and a safe, respectful learning environment.
