Part Time Special Education Instructor
About The Position
Brightmont Academy is seeking a Part-Time Special Education Instructor to provide one-on-one instruction to students from 1st to 12th grade. The instructor will utilize the provided APEX Learning curriculum and implement necessary accommodations and modifications based on IEPs to ensure student success. The ideal candidate will have experience in ASD, ED, and/or SLD programs. A case manager will handle administrative duties, allowing the instructor to focus on individual student needs. This role offers a flexible schedule with no lesson planning or outside work required, focusing solely on in-classroom instruction.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree and an LBS1 certification
- Patience & Empathy: Understanding that every student learns differently and commitment to supporting them.
- A Heart for Teaching: A genuine passion to share your subject with the next generation.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
- Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in ASD, ED and/or SLD programs.
Responsibilities
- Teach students one-on-one, tailoring lessons to their unique needs and learning styles.
