About The Position

Grants Pass School District No. 7 is seeking a Special Education Educational Assistant for Riverside Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a site-based position requiring 7 hours per day and operating on a 182-day calendar from August to June. The district's vision is 'We Are GP! Requirements

Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
Two years of college study OR an associate’s or higher degree OR a passing score on the District reading, writing, and math assessment.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Knowledge of and experience with computers.
Knowledge of business English, spelling and mathematics.
Some knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Type at a working rate speed.
Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees.
Ability to get along well with students.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.

Benefits

$20.02-$28.91 per hour. Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees)

6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System
Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($1,000-$1,600).
