About The Position

Partnership Academy is a public charter school located in Richfield, serving students in preschool through 8th grade. The school offers exceptional learning opportunities, benefiting from data-driven instruction, a robust English Learner program, engaging specials classes, and an After School Program. PA students achieve academic success, participate in service work, and benefit from school partnerships. Teachers work collaboratively in teams, utilizing co-teaching and pull-out models to provide differentiated, hands-on instruction. Staff are expected to continuously improve their teaching methods to positively impact students' academic, linguistic, social, and emotional growth. The special education teacher will collaborate to deliver instruction aligned with students' IEP goals, focusing on reading, writing, and math, typically working with 1st through 4th grade teams. This role involves case managing approximately 10-15 students and completing due process work. The school fosters a culture of continuous improvement through weekly professional development, observations, and feedback.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to provide exceptional instruction aligned to students’ IEP goals, particularly in reading, writing, and math.
  • Collaborate with one or two grade level teams from 1st through 4th grades.
  • Case manage approximately 10-15 students.
  • Complete due process work.
  • Collaborate effectively with a strong team, including speech/language pathologist, social worker, occupational therapist, classroom teachers, intervention teachers, and associate educators.
  • Stay highly engaged with collaborative teaching and mentoring systems of support.
  • Analyze and adapt provided curriculum.
  • Teach in a way that supports Minnesota state standards and the student’s IEP.
  • Effectively collect and interpret data to guide instruction.
  • Provide individualized instruction based on student needs.
  • Partner with families and guardians to support students.
  • Establish a strong culture of learning.
