About The Position
EDU-AIDS is hiring a Full-Time Special Education Coordinator to join a supportive school district in Akron, OH 44320. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year and operates on a Monday-Friday schedule during school hours.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
- Active Ohio Special Education Teaching License or appropriate administrative credential
- Previous experience in special education and IEP compliance
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee special education programs and services
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, IEP, and state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
- Facilitate IEP meetings and support student eligibility and placement decisions
- Provide guidance and support to special education staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and monitor program effectiveness
