Special Education Autistic Support Teacher
About The Position
Lower Merion School District is seeking a Special Education Autistic Support Teacher at Lower Merion High School. This is a contract assignment that will begin at the start of the 2026-27 school year. Requirements
- PA Certification in Special Education required.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students.
- Experience working with students with various types of educational disabilities required.
- Good standing relative to Act 48 credits.
- Child abuse, PA State Police and FBI clearances (no less than one year from date of hire).
Nice To Haves
- Additional certification and/or Autism Endorsement highly preferred.
- Experience supporting students with significant behavioral, academic, and functional needs related to Autism highly preferred.
- Out-of-state educators should explore PA's reciprocity guidelines set by the PA Department of Education.
