About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a Special Education Aide to work alongside teachers and support staff in a collaborative middle school environment in Buckeye, AZ, helping students with autism succeed in the classroom and beyond throughout the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves providing daily classroom and behavioral support to middle school students in a specialized autism/STRIDE program. The aide will assist students with academic, social, behavioral, and functional activities while reinforcing individualized learning and support plans. Collaboration with teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff is key to creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Flexibility to support different classrooms or assignments based on student and program needs is also required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment OR 60 college credit hours OR Associate degree
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification

  • Experience working with students with special needs, particularly autism, behavioral needs, or special education
