Requirements

Certified Law Enforcement Officer and/or
Commissioned Law Enforcement Officer and/or
Commissioned (Railway) Police officer
Successful clearance of the following is required for this position: Criminal background check, Reference check, Driving history, Employment history, SSN verification
Medical Requirements: This position is safety sensitive, all new hires will be required to complete a pre-employment medical screening that includes a physical, hearing, vision and drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

Patrol terminals, yards, right of ways, and other railroad property to ensure security.
Safeguard property, employees, patrons, and goods in transit
Conduct inspections, background check, and criminal investigations as assigned.
Implement prevention techniques, inspect friend, apply security devices, and conduct surveillances to deter crimes against NS property.
Respond to police calls for service and act as a first responder, facilitating effective coordination with fire and rescue, hazmat, and environmental, law enforcement, and or other emergency services.
