About The Position

The Reimbursement Specialists Patient Accounts resolves billing related inquiries from patients, providers, and other internal customers through inbound calls.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service and phone skills, with good problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent time management, organizational, communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
• Comply with applicable CLIA and HIPAA regulations.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of experience in customer service/call center, working in medical billing, health insurance, or collections preferred.
• Insurance billing experience with working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients through various communication channels including telephone, email, and live chat, while also providing support to clinicians, insurers, and the management team to facilitate prompt account collections.
• Work aged accounts, researching and reconciling credit balance accounts and processing adjustments as needed.
• Review patient insurance coverage for genetic testing.
• Document activities appropriately in process notes.
• Participate in Quality Assurance plan.
• Comply with applicable CLIA and HIPAA regulations.
