About The Position

Chem-Aqua, a subsidiary of NCH Corporation, is seeking a skilled SPD Installation and Service Technician to support its growth. The core mission is to deliver high-quality, dependable, and cost-effective pretreatment and chemical feed systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of water purification systems, with a primary focus on supporting the sale of water treatment chemicals.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of critical water purification systems.
In-depth understanding of water purification systems, including Water Softeners, Filtration, Reverse Osmosis (RO), and Deionization (DI) systems.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues related to water treatment equipment and systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare staff, facility management, and equipment manufacturers.
Excellent problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to system installation, maintenance, and repair, including pressure gauges, multi-meters, and calibration tools.
Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
Must have good depth perception and ability to distinguish different colors.
Must have hearing sufficient to hear verbal and audible signals at a moderate distance.
Strong customer service skills to effectively manage client relationships, address concerns, and provide training and support to facility staff as needed.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Additional technical certification or degree in engineering, water treatment, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide basic start-up, installation, and service of SPD critical water systems.
Oversee and execute the installation, commissioning, and start-up of critical water equipment for sterile processing departments.
Make real-time decisions regarding the setup, configuration, and operational adjustments of water purification systems to ensure they meet required critical water standards.
Conduct comprehensive system checks, diagnostics, and performance validations.
Collaborate with healthcare facility management, sterile processing teams, and equipment manufacturers to schedule, report issues, and make recommendations.
Provide training and guidance to facility staff on the proper use and maintenance of critical water systems.
Install, setup, and commission water purification equipment including water softeners, filtration, reverse osmosis (RO), deionization (DI), and critical water distribution systems.
Interact professionally with clients and Chem-Aqua representatives to address concerns, provide technical advice, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Perform testing, validation, and calibration of equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to water purification systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
Provide ongoing support and preventive maintenance services to ensure optimal performance and longevity of installed equipment.
Adhere to strict health and safety protocols and practices while working on-site.
