About The Position

This position performs a wide variety of technical and manual tasks in the Operating Room, under the direction of Surgical Services. Requirements

• High school graduate/General Studies upon hire and One (1) year of full-time experience as a central service technician or High School GED/General Studies upon hire and One (1) year of full time experience as a central service technician and Six (6) months experience processing and assembly of surgical instruments
• Certified and Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) upon hire required or Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Supervisor (CSPDS) upon hire required or Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech (CSPDT) upon hire required or Certified Sterile Processing Dist Tech (CSPDT-CBSPD) upon hire required
• Completion of annual safety training
• Completes and maintains required unit specific training

Nice To Haves

• Experience requirement may be waived for individuals who have successfully completed a Central Service Technician (CST) externship at Sequoia Hospital
