About The Position
The South Cascade Surgery Center is looking to hire a Sterile Processing Technician who will work as part of the health care team. This role operates in a fast-paced environment and involves serving as an Operating Room Assistant while managing surgical inventory. Successful candidates must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities, multitask effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic setting. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided, with the expectation that the employee will obtain certification through CBSPD or an equivalent program within 18 months of hire.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support certification by end of month from 30 days of hire & maintained.
- Must pass Urine Analysis and criminal background check.
- Ability to exert up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Able to sit, stand, walk for prolonged periods.
- Able to lift, position, push and/or transfer patients.
- Able to do considerable stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Obtain certification through CBSPD or an equivalent program within 18 months of hire (including one year of experience and a six-month certification window).
