About The Position

Farmer Focus is seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven SPC Technician to join their team in ensuring consistent product quality and process efficiency in their poultry processing facility. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting production data to support quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of statistical process control principles, be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural production environment, and excel at identifying trends and solving problems.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required
Knowledge of SPC tools and basic statistics.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or SPC software.
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, cold, and wet environment.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or technical training in quality, food science, or related field preferred.
Prior experience in food or poultry processing and/or quality assurance is a plus.

Responsibilities

Collect and record process data at critical control points throughout production (e.g., weights, temperatures, yields, moisture content).
Monitor trends using SPC tools (e.g., control charts, histograms, run charts).
Identify out-of-spec or out-of-control conditions and escalate issues promptly to QA or operations management.
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality deviations.
Work closely with production and QA teams to ensure data-driven decision-making.
Perform audits and inspections to ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, and company policies.
Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date records of data, charts, and reports.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with training production personnel on quality and SPC concepts as needed.
