About The Position
The Annapolis Valley Centre for Education (AVRCE) is seeking Spare Janitors to work on an as-needed basis. This role involves performing a wide variety of janitorial tasks in various schools within Annapolis, Kings, and Hants County. The position offers flexible hours, primarily during the evening, and provides an opportunity for training and potential growth within the organization. Requirements
- Applicants must be physically able to perform duties.
- Applicants must possess the knowledge and ability to apply current cleaning methods and practices with minimal supervision.
- The candidate must be able to apply sound judgment in recognizing safety hazards throughout the premises.
- Successful applicants will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check and a completed Child Abuse Registry.

Responsibilities
- Clean all assigned areas of the school in accordance with established practices and standards.
- Perform floor care duties, such as stripping, sealing, waxing, burnishing, etc.
- Other related duties as assigned.
