About The Position

PGLS is looking for 2 Spanish Language Instructors to teach an intensive, one-on-one course for an adult professional, onsite in Atlanta, GA. This position is for a class starting August 31st, 2026 for 6 months. Local Candidates only.

Requirements

• Educated native or bilingual speaker.
• 2+ year(s) of classroom experience teaching Spanish language to adult English-speaking students.
• 1+ year(s) of teaching experience in a small-group classroom setting.
• Must possess the cultural background of the country and geographical region (raised or educated in the county).
• Familiarity with various computer platforms, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting software (Zoom, Skype, MS Teams).

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the communicative approach to language learning, ILR proficiency scale levels and OPI assessments highly desired.
• Knowledge of Adult Learning Theories and practice, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach an intensive, one-on-one Spanish language course to adult professionals.
• Assess the learning style of the student and adjust teaching accordingly.
• Work interculturally in a harmonious and professional manner.
• Provide required services via MS Teams, ZOOM, etc., as needed.
