About The Position

The Spanish Interpreter provides in-person interpretation for local clients in the Burlington, Vermont area. The role is an independent contractor position with flexible, PRN hours; hours are not guaranteed and depend on interpreter availability, languages spoken, and client needs. Services are typically needed Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and applicants must have some availability during that window. Interpreters may also need to provide video-call interpretation. Applicants should list all languages they speak on their resume.

Requirements

• Be fully bilingual.
• Have excellent communication and listening skills.
• Be familiar with medical terminology.
• Have reliable transportation to attend local appointments.
• Have the technical skills needed to learn and use an online portal, including printing and uploading vouchers.
• Have access to a printer.
• Have interpreting experience and certification.
• Have some availability Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
• Complete required background checks.
