About The Position

Keywords Studios Montreal is looking for Spanish-European native speakers to join our Video Games Proofreaders team. This role involves ensuring the quality and consistency of text and video game content, including checking for spelling, syntax, and typography errors. The proofreader will also be responsible for recommending changes, writing error reports, performing minor translations, and verifying that subtitles align with audio tracks. Effective communication in both English and Spanish-European is essential, as is the ability to work with clients and team members outside of Quebec. The position requires comfort with digital technologies and an interest in the video game industry.

Requirements

• Spanish-European native speakers.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish-European (spoken and written).
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (both verbally and in writing).
• Live in the Montreal area.
• Available to work from home and in the office according to project demands.
• Hold Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, an open work permit, a Working Holiday Visa, or be in the process of requesting a work permit.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks while managing your time efficiently.
• Comfortable with digital technologies (computers, video game consoles, touchscreens).
• An interest in the video game industry.

Responsibilities

• Proofreading texts and video game content (spelling, syntax, typography).
• Checking texts for consistency and recommending changes where necessary.
• Writing error reports.
• Performing minor, simple translations.
• Ensuring subtitles match the audio tracks.
