About The Position

Keywords Studios Montreal is actively looking for German speakers to join our Video Games Proofreaders team. This role involves proofreading texts and video game content for spelling, syntax, and typography, checking for consistency, writing error reports, performing minor translations, and ensuring subtitles match audio tracks. The position requires strong linguistic skills in German and excellent written and spoken English for communication with clients and team members outside of Quebec. Candidates must be comfortable with digital technologies and have an interest in the video game industry.

Requirements

• Proficiency in German (spoken and written).
• Excellent written & spoken English.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (both verbally and in writing).
• Live in the Montreal area.
• Available to work from home and in-office according to project demands.
• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks while managing your time efficiently.
• Comfortable with digital technologies (computers, video game consoles, touchscreens, etc.).
• An interest in the video game industry.

• Experience in a similar position or in a related field (an asset).

Responsibilities

• Proofreading texts and video game contents (spelling, syntax, typography, etc.)
• Checking texts for consistency and recommending changes where necessary.
• Writing error reports.
• Performing minor, simple translations.
• Ensuring subtitles match the audio tracks.

• $19.15 per hour (bonus of $2.50 per hour after 7:00 PM).
