About The Position

SPACE (Skokie's Place for All Children in Extended care) is a before and/or after school childcare program that operates in cooperation with Skokie School Districts 68, 69, 72, 73 and 73.5. Programs are held at various Skokie Public School locations. We are currently seeking Program Leader openings for the 2026/2027 upcoming school year. Our part-time staff receive a free membership to our health club, Fitness First, and other facility usage benefits. Bonuses are available, including a $100 Refer-a-Friend bonus for current park district employees and a $500 good-standing bonus ($250 in December and $250 in June). To be eligible for bonuses, employees must be in good standing, work 5 days a week (am or pm), attend in-service trainings, and remain up-to-date on all required trainings and certificates (CPR, mandated reporter, gateways, fingerprints).

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Mature, energetic, and responsible individual.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
CPR certification.
Mandated reporter training.
Gateways training.
Fingerprints on file.

Nice To Haves

Child care experience leading and supervising school-aged children.

Responsibilities
