About The Position

The Spa Supervisor oversees Spa Technicians, Spa coordinator, Spa Fitness attendants & Leads with operational tasks, and all aspects of guest service at the spa and fitness. Ensures that the best service is provided to guests on a day-to-day basis. Spa and fitness operations include developing, monitoring and reviewing staffing, locker room/common area operations, guest supply budget, facility operations, supply procedures, group bookings, concierge and pre-arrival requests and other operational procedures as needed. Lead and attend weekly planning and operations meetings. Prepare all purchase requisitions for guest supplies and obtain approval from the Director of Spa. Develop long and short-term goals with the management team, and evaluate progress on an ongoing basis. Evaluate the appearance of the spa and fitness, facilities and employees and facilitate action plans when necessary. Evaluate and effect efficient operation of the spa and fitness including supplies, inventory levels, staffing and sales. Monitor the progress and status of all spa and fitness maintenance items. Develops and enforces SOPs. Execute timely evaluations of all appropriate staff. Communicate all goals and appropriate information with spa and fitness staff. Hold daily briefings with all team members. Interview potential candidates and provide feedback to the Director of Spa. Conduct training and coaching, and maintain a strong daily presence in the department. Reinforce quality standards through daily feedback with employees. Lead tours for new hire, media, and VIP’s. Participate in communication and planning meetings. Participate in associate and community relations functions. Must be able to perform mental activities such as learning, thinking, following instructions, concentrating, interacting with others, handling stressful situations, self control, attention to detail and be reliable. Assist Spa director as Point of contact for all group bookings and Spa buyouts. Position requires candidate to be stationed and working from Spa desk for up to the duration of their scheduled shift.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Minimum; 3 years experience in a similar position, in a related setting with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
  • Proficient with Spa booking systems such as Book4Time or SpaSoft
