About The Position

The Spa Services Specialist (SSS) is a key member of the Fitness Services Department Team. The SSS is ultimately responsible for delivering an extremely high level of both applied services (i.e. facial, body treatment, manicure, pedicure, etc.) and overall experience to all visitors, guests, and members on a consistent basis. This is achieved by utilizing excellent technical skills alongside exceptional interpersonal skills and being well-versed in the Center’s Service Standards. The goal of these efforts is to earn excellent member satisfaction levels and, more importantly, create life-long promotors of the Center and its services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Licensed practitioner by the State Board as appropriate.
  • 2 Years of Esthetician Work Experience
  • Excellent technical skills related to delivering an exceptional service.
  • No written disciplinary action within the last 12 months
  • Pass Background Check
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • CPR Certification
  • Must be available to work weekend hours

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent interpersonal skills needed for exemplary customer service; outgoing, friendly, and compassionate.
  • Hold a specialty certification from a reputable organization in areas such as, but not limited to: Microdermabrasion, Dermaplaning, Laser & Light Therapy, and Body Scrubs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent professional services and treatments in accordance with Center protocols and State licensures.
  • Adjust service techniques related to client feedback and requests.
  • Understand the menu of services offered and display competency in all services delivered within the service description.
  • Acknowledge the confidential nature of the professional relationship with clients and respect each client's right to privacy and decency.
  • Refrain from any degrading or unprofessional conduct and maintain age-specific appropriateness with clients.
  • Execute the customer Service Standards for all aspects of the operations.
  • Manage the reception of each member and ensure a world-class member experience.
  • Form relationships and communicate with members with compassion and a willingness to assist.
  • Recommend and sell products to clients based on their specific needs.
  • Manage client charts and documentation as per State Board guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and privacy.
  • Administer duties related to computer tasks, specifically the Club Management software system, including client scheduling and general data entry.
  • Execute logistical workflows needed to achieve an effective and efficient operation related to delivering services.
  • Maintain current licenses and certifications, attend continuing education seminars, and review industry literature.
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary facility for all guests.
  • Routinely complete the department’s daily task check sheet as assigned.
  • Contribute to achieving a consistently excellent member experience resulting in high member satisfaction ratings and low member attrition.
  • Address all member concerns and provide prompt and member-friendly follow-ups.
  • Be proficient and compliant with all current facility policies and procedures.
  • Consistently meet and/or exceed the Center’s performance objectives and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Improve areas of the business by identifying an area for improvement, devising a solution, and implementing a plan.
  • Achieve a high-level of organizational alignment, play a vital role in realizing a Culture of Excellence and adhere to the IWP Code of Conduct.
  • Accept constructive criticism/direction and effectively change own performance.
