About The Position

As a Spa Retail Manager, you’ll help lead daily salon operations, coach team members, deliver excellent customer service, and support store performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a customer-facing environment, leading by example, and helping a team meet sales and service goals. You’ll play an important role in creating a positive, high-energy salon environment where clients feel welcomed, team members are supported, and operational standards stay high.

Requirements

  • Management and/or sales experience is required.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service and operational awareness.
  • Problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Leadership ability, including coaching, mentoring, and delegating.
  • Strong team-building and communication skills.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Bend at the waist to clean spa, sunless, and UV tanning equipment.
  • Lift or help lift items and heavy boxes.
  • Bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from the floor.
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
  • Work independently and alone during some shifts as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Beauty, Spa, Tanning Industry and/or Customer Service experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coach employees to provide amazing client experiences.
  • Follow up swiftly on client concerns and issues.
  • Set a positive example and demonstrate a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.
  • Display a client comes first attitude by holding team members accountable for quality client service.
  • Drive company metrics by developing action plans.
  • Directly motivate and instruct the spa team by implementing company programs.
  • Manage with integrity and honesty and promotes the culture, values, and mission of Wellness City.
  • Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth flow of operations.
  • Maintain excellent cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and organization of the spa, sunless, and UV tanning equipment and facilities.
  • Manage spa staffing levels to ensure employee development and maintain spa operational requirements.
  • Adhere to applicable wage and hour laws for non-exempt team members and minors.
  • Use all operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence in the spa. Tools include labor guidelines, reports, cash management, and inventory management.
  • Utilize financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in spa performance.
  • Regularly conduct performance assessments, provide feedback, and set challenging goals to improve sales performance.
  • Be a leader with sales performance and consistently meet sales goals.
  • Manage ongoing sales.
