This part-time position is responsible for greeting all members and guests, directing inquiries, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and processing billing for fitness-related services. The role aims to provide a professional, friendly, and courteous atmosphere for all members. The schedule may vary and include evenings and weekends. Good attendance and punctuality are crucial. The position involves promoting fitness programs, contests, and the fitness department, as well as performing desk coverage and other assigned tasks by management. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of country club/fitness area concepts, excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and time management abilities, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, is required. A high school diploma or equivalent and previous clerical/reception experience are necessary. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications, typing ability, and a customer focus are essential. A seasonal/yearly commitment is highly desired, along with comfort in a fitness environment and willingness to assist in other areas. CPR/AED certification is desirable. The role requires the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and bend/lift heavier objects or equipment.
