About The Position

The Spa Ambassador ensures that Spa guests have an extraordinary experience by maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Spa, performing various types of treatments, booking appointments, and offering services and products. The Spa Ambassador handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.

Requirements

  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management to their understanding.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (AM, PM, Weekends & Holidays).
  • Demonstrate previous spa concierge and/or other spa work experience and strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service and/or sales experience and/or ability to promote and sell services and products.
  • Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm, motivation and motivational ability.
  • Demonstrate professional manner, oral and written communication, discretion, and appearance.
  • Demonstrate the ability to successfully collaborate, cooperate, and contribute to the organization and to colleagues.

Nice To Haves

  • High School graduate or equivalent vocational training.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • One to two years in a similar role in a hospitality environment.
  • Possess valid and current licenses, certifications, and/or credentials from Fire Department of New York.
  • CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Guest Interaction & Service: Always treat guests with courtesy and respect in a variety of situations. Honesty & Integrity. To be mindful of the importance of personal hygiene and grooming. Maintain the highest levels of professional performance, conduct, client service, safety, and hygiene in work areas and throughout the Spa. Familiarize guests with the spa facility and locker room areas. Meet, greet, and check-in/out all Spa guests. Consult with spa guests to determine needs and expectations, including offering refreshments. Provide appointment information and confirmations, and pre-arrival itineraries as necessary. Handle guest requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Service Provision: Create and foster a positive and professional environment for Spa guests by providing a wide range of treatments according to specialty area. Operate the cryo chamber while assisting the Spa guest before, during, and after the session ensuring a high level of safety and comfort. Offer and book Spa services quickly and efficiently according to established standards. Maintain a deep knowledge of Spa services, products, and promotions. Assure information about the Spa is updated, current, and readily available.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain thorough knowledge of and adherence to all procedures, protocols, and standards of Hotel and Spa. Develop and maintain thorough knowledge and skills in all spa services, tools, equipment, and products offered. Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with local health codes and regulations. Ensure linen closets are clean, organized, and stocked. Ensure all guest supplies and therapist/aesthetician supplies are stocked and available according to established standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to hotel Health and Safety guidelines. Ensure the facility remains in compliance with local health/sanitation codes and regulations at all times. Comply with all Work Rules, Safety Standards and Standards of Conduct as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in and successfully complete all training, education, and certifications required by the Spa. Collaborate, cooperate, and contribute to the success of all spa personnel and operations. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. May be assigned other duties at the discretion of management.
