About The Position

Claria is looking for a reliable and hands-on Property Maintenance Specialist for Astoria Laval, a new high-end residential rental building of approximately 340 units. This is a live-in position, with an apartment allowance provided as part of the compensation package. The selected candidate will support the daily maintenance of the building, respond to resident service requests, and help maintain Astoria’s high standards of quality, safety and resident experience.

Requirements

Experience in building maintenance, residential property maintenance or a similar role.
Strong general repair and troubleshooting skills.
Professional, reliable and service-oriented.
Able to work independently and prioritize urgent tasks.
Comfortable interacting with residents in a courteous manner.
Availability for occasional evenings, weekends or emergency calls.

Nice To Haves

French and English are assets.
Experience in a luxury residential building is an asset.

Responsibilities

Perform general repairs and maintenance in apartments, common areas and amenity spaces.
Respond quickly and professionally to resident maintenance requests.
Handle basic plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, carpentry, appliance and hardware repairs.
Assist with unit turnovers, move-ins and move-outs.
Conduct regular inspections of the building, garage, mechanical rooms and common areas.
Perform daily calibration and inspections of the pool, spa and sauna.
Identify and report maintenance issues before they become larger problems.
Coordinate with contractors when needed.
Respond to urgent building-related situations, including occasional after-hours emergencies.
Maintain tools, supplies and maintenance areas in good order.
Support the Property Manager and on-site team in daily building operations.
