Requirements

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
You have at least five (5) years of experience with stress analysis techniques for composite and metallic structures.
Knowledge of software such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, CATIA V5, and MS Office is required.
You have a strong sense of responsibility, integrity and are a team player.
Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

Experience with A220 structures is an asset.
Knowledge of Google Suite is an asset.
Previous experience working on an aircraft development or in-service support program, including certification, would be an asset.
Experience as a delegate within a Design Approval Organization (DAO) would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Analyze composite and hybrid structures in terms of static strength in accordance with validated methods.
Ensure compliance with airworthiness regulations, applicable design principles, processes and methods, as well as manufacturing capability guidelines.
Define, interpret, and validate tests.
Ensure interface and communication with the relevant stakeholders.
Provide the relevant information to the Design Office for the development of manufacturing drawings and support other functions, such as production and customer support, as needed.
Provide calculation analysis related to the repair and acceptance of damaged structures.
Monitor, guide, and support subcontracting companies providing structural analysis work.
