Requirements

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • You have at least five (5) years of experience with stress analysis techniques for composite and metallic structures.
  • Knowledge of software such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, CATIA V5, and MS Office is required.
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility, integrity and are a team player.
  • Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with A220 structures is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Google Suite is an asset.
  • Previous experience working on an aircraft development or in-service support program, including certification, would be an asset.
  • Experience as a delegate within a Design Approval Organization (DAO) would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze composite and hybrid structures in terms of static strength in accordance with validated methods.
  • Ensure compliance with airworthiness regulations, applicable design principles, processes and methods, as well as manufacturing capability guidelines.
  • Define, interpret, and validate tests.
  • Ensure interface and communication with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide the relevant information to the Design Office for the development of manufacturing drawings and support other functions, such as production and customer support, as needed.
  • Provide calculation analysis related to the repair and acceptance of damaged structures.
  • Monitor, guide, and support subcontracting companies providing structural analysis work.
