About The Position

AJW Group is a world-leading independent specialist in the supply, exchange, repair and lease of aircraft spare parts. With over 90 years of aviation experience, AJW supports over 1000 airlines across 100 countries. One of the main divisions of the AJW Group is AJW Technique, a state-of-the-art component Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility with over 150 experienced and passionate technicians in Montreal. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the incumbent will work as part of a team with responsibility for delivering sales targets through delivery of timely and competitive quotes to ad-hoc customers in trades and various airlines. Work closely with other internal departments to facilitate on-time delivery. Combine with an appreciation of credit risk, margin calculation and understanding of commission structures. Understand commercial aspects of the business and market competitiveness. Gain awareness of aviation product, autonomy to flex to market demands, identify new business streams that arise in the day to day. This is a dynamic role, and further responsibilities may be added to support sales activity in the future.

Requirements

  • Degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or a related field.
  • Experience in a sales environment. Aviation experience is a great asset.
  • Sales-driven with appropriate verbal and written communication skills both in English (fluent) and French (functional) to support the development of customer relationships.
  • Demonstrable history of managing and growing a variety of customer accounts.
  • Possesses strong negotiation skills and uses them to maximize profits.
  • Recognizes key organizational challenges and enhances development of a ‘one company’ perspective through active promotion of co-ordination between internal departments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English to facilitate communication with all parties within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and engage with potential clients in the aviation sector, including airlines, MROs, and leasing companies.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of customer accounts by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Provide feedback to sales staff as well as other stakeholders within the company. Your front-line knowledge will be imperative to aligning the sales strategy for the company and which products will receive most attention.
  • Monitor and ensure satisfactory organizational response to any customer query received including escalation as required and regular feedback. Provide assistance in ensuring payment for services provided.
  • Actively engage with Continuous Improvement activity including communication of ideas for improvement to team leader and management. The goal will be to streamline order handling and enhance customer experience.
  • Use Quality systems to understand any process failures and work constructively with others to identify root causes and address them.
  • Help facilitate any data collection or activity required to implement change in a structured process.
  • Successfully manage and grow a variety of customer accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends.
  • Complete new customer account forms.
  • Update online capabilities, manage accounts.
