About The Position

The Freelance Firm is a national network of experienced, high-level, freelance attorneys and paralegals who provide remote, on-demand support for both short-term and long-term legal projects for client law firms. Due to increased demand, we are now interviewing for a qualified, experienced, and dedicated South Florida Probate & Estate Litigation Attorney. Remote work hours will vary, but are expected to be approximately 20-30 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time opportunity.

Requirements

Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of Florida
Located in South Florida or willing to attend in-person hearings as needed
Minimum of 5+ years of probate and litigation experience
Probate litigation experience strongly preferred; general litigation experience will also be considered if accompanied by significant probate experience
Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and meet deadlines
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

Nice To Haves

Experience with estate planning and/or guardianship matters is a plus, but not required
Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required
Experience across probate, estate planning, and guardianship matters
Experience handling contested probate, trust, or fiduciary disputes
Interest in a long-term relationship with the potential to transition into a full-time role
