About The Position

We are looking for a hands-on Sous Chef who thrives in a quiet, focused environment where precision, restraint, and respect for ingredients matter above all else.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of culinary supervisory experience in a luxury restaurant or premium hotel setting.
  • Deep experience in Japanese cuisine and familiarity with high-end Omakase-style sushi service are required.
  • Strong organizational skills, a high attention to detail, and sensitivity to cultural nuances.
  • Standard luxury hospitality availability (long shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays).

Nice To Haves

  • A culinary degree or apprenticeship is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Run precise, disciplined services and stand in for Omakase service or main dining room expediting when needed.
  • Oversee prep volumes based on reservations, manage DOH protocols, and maintain strict sanitation and temperature controls.
  • Train, mentor, and hold line cooks accountable to uncompromising luxury standards without drama or shortcuts.
