About The Position

The Sous Chef creates a culture of food exploration, innovation, and education for customers and employees. The role prepares food using kitchen equipment and tools, fills in for the Executive Chef as needed, upholds food-preparation quality and cleanliness standards, and maintains customer engagement with an emphasis on fast, friendly service. The position is based at Balducci’s in McLean, Virginia. The stated starting salary is $60,000 annually, but will be no less than the local minimum wage; starting rates vary based on location, experience, and qualifications.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have 2 or more years of culinary, kitchen, or restaurant experience.
Be adaptable to varying environments, including freezer, fridge, and food-preparation areas.
Take pride in work and be inspired to create and innovate with food.
