About The Position

Working as a Sous Chef at the NFL Cafe in NYC, you will be responsible for supporting the culinary operations. This is a Premier Client Café offering an elevated food program with higher-end standards. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule (requires availability from 6 a.m.- 4 p.m., with some weekends required during NFL Season), a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

A.S. or equivalent experience
Some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training
Catering experience a plus
High-volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable
Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful
Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the Internet
Strong client and customer relationship-building skills
ServSafe certified - highly desirable

Responsibilities

Produces culinary creations for the account; cafe, catering, and fine dining service.
Assists the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
Assists the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
Produces and executes catering events
Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team
Assists the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
