About The Position

AMFM Healthcare is seeking a Sous Chef for Mission Prep Healthcare, its adolescent residential treatment program. The Sous Chef prepares and serves meals for clients and staff in a supportive, therapeutic residential setting, including accommodating specialized nutritional needs and dietary restrictions. The role works under the Head Chef and requires travel among facilities in the Bonsall/Fallbrook, California area to deliver meals. This is a seasonal, part-time, hourly, non-exempt position scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., paying $24–$28 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Food Handler’s Certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under the company auto insurance policy; requirements include at least 3 continuous years of driving experience, being at least 21 years old, fewer than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.
• Ability to pass background checks required by the company, state, or federal guidelines.
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve lunch and dinner daily for clients and staff.
• Coordinate meal delivery across multiple residential sites.
• Guide breakfast and weekend meal service procedures.
• Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation standards.
• Adapt meals to accommodate individual dietary restrictions, including specialized nutritional needs.
• Manage food inventory, purchasing, and expense reconciliation.
• Create weekly menus that are nutritious and satisfying.
• Maintain a respectful and positive attitude with clients and staff.
• Ensure compliance with county, state, and ServSafe standards.
