About The Position

As a Sous Chef with Restaurant Associates at TD Bank in Mount Laurel, NJ, you will oversee the day-to-day culinary operations of a premier high-end executive dining program. You will play a key role in supporting and executing breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, managing buffet, plated, and à la carte menus, while maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence and hospitality.

Requirements

A.S. or equivalent experience
Some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training
Catering experience is required
Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the Internet
Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities

Nice To Haves

High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable
Institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
ServSafe certified - highly desirable

Responsibilities

Assists the Sr. Chef Manager with planning and creating menus
Produces and supports in executing catering events
Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team
Support the planning, preparation, and execution of high-quality catered events and daily culinary operations.
Assist in the development of menus and provide recommendations for menu enhancements that align with guest expectations and current culinary trends.
Oversee inventory management, purchasing, ordering, and receiving processes to support operational efficiency and cost control.
Support sourcing initiatives that prioritize local and seasonal products whenever possible.
Actively participate in food preparation, cooking, and service alongside the team
