About The Position

The Sourcing Specialist supports strategic supply-related activities for a facility, helping deliver excellence and integration between procurement and the team supporting the facility. The role identifies, defines, and implements integrated supply chain solutions and performance improvements, and builds internal and external alliances to explore opportunities. It establishes and governs effective partnerships and best practices with business partners and internal functions, and is responsible for the soundness of business proposals and risk assessment. The specialist investigates and recommends industry benchmarks, metrics, and best practices to develop optimal supply chains for suppliers or product sets. The role also develops and analyzes data to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve performance, create more cost-effective supply chains, improve inventory utilization, and strengthen business partnerships. The position is onsite five days a week. Relocation is available, and visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher.
General understanding of ferrous metallurgy and foundry practices.
Good understanding of traditional machining and NDE processes.
Familiarity with ASTM, ASME, NACE, and API specifications.
Experience in business management and contract negotiations.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to proactively diagnose and address potential issues.
Good leadership and communication skills.
Experience in supply chain and customer relationship management.

Nice To Haves

Experience in production management.
Good understanding of Lean/6-sigma and Theory of Constraints.
Established network of industry leaders.
General knowledge of turbine and compressor design and requirements.

Responsibilities
