About The Position

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials, such as pumping peanut butter, oil, glue, and spraying finishes, coatings, and paint. Graco is part of daily life, employing approximately 3,700 people worldwide and serving thousands of customers in over 100 countries. This Sourcing Specialist role provides purchasing support to factories by ensuring all required materials are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner. The position assists in the management of all aspects of Graco’s global sourcing strategy, aiming for annual improvement in the total cost, quality, and service for assigned commodities, and implementing a procurement process to meet specific needs. The role is currently based at the Minneapolis office and will transition to new headquarters in Dayton, MN, in 2027. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required
  • Up to 2 years Sourcing or manufacturing related experience
  • Basic knowledge of sourcing practices
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Domestic Travel up to 10%
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship now or in the future (e.g., H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT)

Responsibilities

  • Locate and evaluate sources (capability, capacity, market constraints) for assigned categories/ commodities (20%)
  • Review competitive proposals (15%)
  • Support new supplier qualification and new product development activities as required, to include supplier visits and audits (20%)
  • Place and enter purchase orders as required (5%)
  • Keep current on new market trends and materials information (5%)
  • Maintain order quantities based on established formulas (10%)
  • Support cost reduction, lead time reduction and improve inventory turns (25%)
  • Other duties as assigned
