About The Position

Responsible for procurement (e.g., purchasing and supply chain activities), as well as vendor management (e.g., negotiation, purchase, and relationships associated with outsourced services). Responsibilities include: Accountable for obtaining goods / services required by the organization including Indirect Operations (e.g., Office Supplies, Computers, Travel, Maintenance, Machine Parts, etc.) and Direct Operations (e.g., Raw Materials and Services for Manufacturing, Production or Construction; Products for Retail, etc.). Manages or performs strategic sourcing work to manage risk and optimize the value/resilience of materials/services sourcing including: Establishing supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvement goals/programs. Negotiating contracts and coordinating supplier integration plans with internal clients. Monitors market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing. Partners with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, develop buyer/market profiles, identify marketplace trends, and define acceptable service levels.

Requirements

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
