About The Position

The Mechanical Sourcing team is searching for an exceptional individual with a blend of thermal and mechanical knowledge to join our ranks. In this role, you’ll play a key part in formulating and executing strategic sourcing initiatives that will shape our product offerings. This is a global position, providing opportunities to engage with stakeholders and suppliers across the world and influence our sourcing strategy on an international scale. Requirements

  • Strong expertise in the thermal industry with mechanical industry knowledge, able to understand relevant manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience in a technical or commercial field.
  • Executive-level influence: Experience working effectively with senior stakeholders and executive leadership to drive alignment and decision-making.
  • High proficiency in negotiation, ensuring competitive advantage and high satisfaction for Cisco’s customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive supplier engagement, negotiation, and selection to secure the highest quality thermal and mechanical components that align with Cisco’s stringent standards for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Partner with Cisco's suppliers, engineers, product managers, and quality teams to drive innovation in thermal and mechanical solutions, integrating sourcing strategies that push technological boundaries while meeting product timelines and budgetary goals.
